How to make a vegan candle?
A vegan candle needs a plant-based wax: Soya Wax 50, a cotton or wooden wick, oil-based fragrance. No paraffin and no beeswax. Melting ~51–55°C, oil saturation ~8%, fragrance 6–10%.

Decide the base
Soya Wax 50 flakes. No paraffin and no beeswax. Palm is a separate base; do not mix them.

Melt and add fragrance
Double boiler ~51–55°C. Off the heat, fragrance 6–10%, ceiling ~8%. No water-based scents.

Pour and cure
Center the wick, pour slowly. Wait 24 hours; the scent takes 48 hours–1 week. Wick ~5 mm.
Vegan label
Plant wax + synthetic or plant oil-based fragrance. Beeswax has its own scent and is of animal origin. Check the source of stearic acid on the SKU.
Aroma tablet

FAQs
Is soy wax vegan?
Yes, it is a plant base from soybean oil. Rufus Soya Wax 50 is for containers and tablets.
Is a wooden wick vegan?
A wooden stick is not of animal origin. The soaking and mm guide is separate.
