Troubleshooting
Why does my candle drip?
A dripping candle is usually a soft base in a candlestick, too much heat or a draft. A container Soya Wax 50 stays in the glass; a dripping pillar is a paraffin + stearic matter. Wick ~5 mm. Do not copy the soy 51–55°C band to paraffin.
-
Look at the base
Soft soy drips in a candlestick. Candlestick paraffin firms up with the SKU stearic ratio. Container is Soya Wax 50.
-
Wick and heat
A heavy wick overflows the pool. ~5 mm tip. A draft bends the flame and melts the edge. A calm room.
-
Keep it upright
A tilted candlestick drips. A flat base. A new pour should wait 24 hours; an early burn drips while soft.
A container does not drip
Soya Wax 50 in glass spreads to the edge and does not drip onto the table. A dripping complaint is often a freestanding pillar.
Stearic
The ratio is the SKU and a test. There is no memorized percentage. The stearic ratio guide is separate.
