Mold

What is a silicone candle mold?

A silicone candle mold is a flexible mold; once the candle cools, the mold is peeled off. For detail, paraffin (with stearin if needed) stays firm. Soya Wax 50 is container-focused; it can be squashed in thin silicone.

How it works

The mold should be dry. Center the wick (if it will be burned). Pour slowly, cool completely, and peel the silicone by flexing. Sharp tools and boiling water tire the mold. The removal steps are in a separate HowTo.

Which wax

Bubbles, figures and pillars: paraffin. Container jars: Soya Wax 50, in glass, not a mold. If palm/blend is in stock, read the mold note.

Care

Warm soap, drying, flat storage. No dishwasher or oven. The silicone molds in the catalog are reusable.

FAQs

Is a release spray required?

In good silicone it is not needed in most candle molds; oil can spoil the detail. If it sticks, wait longer, use warm water, and flex it.

How many molds does 1 kg of wax fill?

By the mold's grams. Weigh with water; allow 3–5% for loss. The bubble calculation is on a separate page.
