GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
- Optimum Hardness: The molds are made of durable white silicone with optimum hardness that does not damage object details. They are flexible and have smooth inner surfaces.
- Casting Guarantee: When storage and usage instructions are followed, you can cast approximately 500 objects.
- Supportive PLA Hoop Attachment: The outer hoop is made from PLA, an organic bioplastic material, to perfectly maintain the form during casting. Hoop color may vary depending on stock.
- Multi-Purpose Casting Advantage: Due to their structure, silicone molds are suitable for multi-purpose casting. Except for stone powder casting, they are compatible with wax, soap, concrete, epoxy, scented stone, ceramic, and plaster castings. By paying attention to drying and working conditions of your raw materials, you can create many different products. Not recommended for food products.
- Package Contents: The containers shown in the images are not included in the sale. Only a high-quality silicone mold that allows you to produce the container will be sent with your order. The package consists of 6 parts: 1 silicone mold, 1 silicone lid, 2 PLA hoop pieces, and 2 clamps.
- Special Kraft Box and Information Label: Your product will be delivered in a special kraft box with a label containing gram and dimension information to help you calculate raw material usage easily. This label prevents material waste and eliminates the need to search for digital data each time.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- First Use: It is recommended to clean your molds with soapy water and dry thoroughly before use.
- PLA Hoop Usage: Before casting, place the hoop on the silicone mold and secure it with clamps. This prevents the silicone from stretching and deforming during casting. Important warning: Do not apply direct heat (hair dryer, heat gun, etc.) to the hoop. High heat may deform or melt the PLA material.
- Level the Surface: To achieve a perfect form, ensure the surface where you place the mold before casting is flat and level.
- Stone Powder Mixing Ratio Tip: The reference mixing ratio is 310-350 g water per 1 kg stone powder. Correctly adjusting the stone powder and water ratio will make the resulting object stronger and more durable. Increasing water ratio increases brittleness; decreasing it makes pouring and spreading the mixture in the mold harder. Also, you may need to adjust these ratios seasonally as ambient temperature changes.
- Air Bubble Warning: Adding the appropriate amount of Li-Quit Air Entrainer after mixing stone powder with water minimizes air bubbles. Reference ratio is 1-3 g Li-Quit Air Entrainer per 100 g mixture. Additionally, lightly tapping the mold after pouring helps air bubbles rise to the surface.
- Demolding Time: To ensure smooth details, do not remove the object from the mold before the stone powder cures and the heating phase ends.
- Mold Release Spray Usage: For serial production, you can use mold release spray to extend mold life and speed up demolding. Apply the spray evenly inside the mold to form a uniform layer.
CLEANING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Post-Use Cleaning: Wash with soapy water after casting and dry thoroughly.
- Proper Storage: Silicone is flexible and may deform under pressure over time. Make sure the mold is completely dry and store it in its original kraft box. Keep away from direct sunlight, high heat, and heavy weights.
- Quick Cleaning: You may use wet wipes, adhesive tape, or cologne wipes for quick cleaning.
