GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
- Optimal Hardness: Molds are made of durable white silicone with optimal hardness that will not damage object details. They are flexible and have smooth inner surfaces.
- Casting Guarantee: With proper storage and usage, you can cast approximately 500 objects.
- Supportive PLA Hoop Attachment: The outer hoop is made from PLA, an organic bioplastic, to perfectly maintain the form during casting. Hoop color may vary depending on stock.
- Multi-Purpose Casting Advantage: Silicone molds are inherently versatile. Except for stone powder casting, they are compatible with wax, soap, concrete, epoxy, scented stone, ceramic, and plaster castings. By paying attention to drying and working conditions of your raw material, you can create many different products. Not recommended for food products.
- Package Contents: Containers shown in images are not included. Only high-quality silicone molds for container production will be sent with your order. The package includes 18 pieces: 3 silicone molds, 3 silicone lids, 6 PLA hoops, and 6 clamps.
- Special Kraft Box and Information Label: Your product is shipped in a special kraft box with a label containing weight and dimension information to help you calculate raw material usage easily. This prevents waste and avoids the need to search for digital data each time.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- First Use: Clean molds with soapy water and dry thoroughly before use.
- PLA Hoop Usage: Before casting, place the hoop on the silicone mold and secure with clamps. This prevents the silicone from stretching and deforming during casting. Important: Do not apply direct heat (hair dryer, heat gun, etc.) to the hoop as high heat can deform or melt the PLA material.
- Level the Surface: Ensure the surface where you place the mold is flat and level for a perfect form.
- Stone Powder Mixing Ratio Tip: Reference ratio is 310-350 g water per 1 kg stone powder. Correct water-to-powder ratio ensures stronger, more durable objects. Higher water increases fragility; lower water makes pouring and spreading difficult. Adjust ratios seasonally as ambient temperature changes.
- Air Bubble Warning: Adding Li-Quit Air Entrainer at 1-3 g per 100 g mortar reduces air bubbles. After pouring, gently tap the mold to help bubbles rise to the surface.
- Demolding Time: To preserve smooth details, do not remove the object before the stone powder fully cures and heat phase ends.
- Mold Release Spray Usage: For mass production, use mold release spray to extend mold life and speed up demolding. Apply an even layer on the mold’s inner surfaces.
CLEANING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Post-Use Cleaning: Wash with soapy water and dry thoroughly after casting.
- Proper Storage: Silicone is flexible and may deform under pressure over time. Store molds completely dry in their original kraft box. Keep away from direct sunlight, high heat, and heavy weights.
- Quick Cleaning: Use wet wipes, adhesive tape, or alcohol wipes as needed.
