- Candle dyes are oil-based products used to color your candles.
- They have a thick, concentrated consistency and begin to soften and then melt when exposed to heat.
- This product is dark green in color and weighs 20 grams.
- When creating the candle you want to color, it is recommended to add a small amount (1%) of granule candle dye to the melting container along with your base material (soy wax, paraffin, etc.). Mix the two thoroughly to achieve a homogeneous blend. After your base material has completely melted, drop a small amount onto white paper and wait for it to dry. If the dried colored wax on the paper matches your desired shade, your color is ready. If it is lighter than expected, add a small additional piece (2%, 3%, 4%, etc.) crushed into the liquid wax and mix well. Repeat this process until you achieve your desired tone.
- Note that the visible color of the melted base material will differ from the color after drying.
- The candle dyes you use can be mixed with each other, allowing you to create intermediate shades from different primary colors.
- Granule candle dyes are produced to minimize pigment issues after drying, unlike powder dyes. They are much easier to work with compared to powders.
