- Candle dyes are oil-based products used to color your candles.
- They have a thick, concentrated consistency and begin to soften and then melt when exposed to heat.
- This product is dark green in color and weighs 100 grams. It is shipped in a single 100 g doypack package.
- When coloring your candle, it is recommended to add a small amount (1%) of granule candle dye to the melting container along with your base material (soy wax, paraffin, etc.). Mix the two thoroughly to achieve a homogeneous blend. Once your base material is fully melted, drip a drop onto white paper and wait for it to dry. If the dried colored wax on the paper matches your desired shade, your color is ready. If the tone is lighter than expected, add a small piece (2%, 3%, 4%, etc.) more to the liquid wax and mix well. Repeat this process until you reach the desired tone.
- Note that the visible color of the melted base material will differ from the color after drying.
- The candle dyes you use can be mixed with each other to create intermediate colors from different primary colors.
- Granule candle dyes are produced to minimize pigment issues after drying, unlike powder dyes, and are much easier to work with compared to powders.
