USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- First Use: Clean your molds with soapy water and dry thoroughly before use.
- Wick Placement: Molds are sent without wick holes opened or cut, due to their multi-purpose casting advantage. Before candle casting, you can easily pierce the wick hole in seconds without damaging the mold using a tool called "biz" or a medium-thickness quilting needle.
- Level the Surface: Ensure the surface where you place the mold is flat and level before casting to achieve a perfect form.
- Temperature Balance: To get smooth details, pay attention to the candle's melting and casting temperature. Removing the candle from the mold before it fully cools and hardens can cause loss of details and shape differences.
- Colored Casting Tip: If your candle mixture is colored, the silicone mold may change color after casting. Following cleaning and storage instructions minimizes color transfer for future castings. To reduce workload and risk, we recommend having separate molds for colored and white castings.
- Use of Mold Release Spray: For mass production, you can use mold release spray to extend mold life and release objects quickly. Apply the spray evenly inside the mold to form a uniform layer.
CLEANING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Post-Use Cleaning: After casting, gently heat the mold interior with a hot air gun and wipe candle residues with paper towel. Then wash with soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Proper Storage: Silicone is flexible and may deform under pressure over time. Ensure molds are completely dry and store them in their original kraft box. Keep away from direct sunlight, high heat, and heavy weights.
- Quick Cleaning: You may use wet wipes, adhesive tape, or cologne wipes for instant cleaning.
Remember, every candle casting is an enjoyable experience. We wish you patience and pleasure throughout your production process.
