GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
- Optimal Hardness: The molds are made of durable white silicone with optimal hardness that will not damage candle details. They are flexible with smooth inner surfaces.
- Casting Guarantee: With proper storage and use, you can cast approximately 500 candles.
- Supportive PLA Hoop Attachment: The outer hoop is made from PLA, an organic bioplastic, to perfectly maintain the mold’s shape during casting. Hoop color may vary depending on stock.
- Multi-Purpose Casting Advantage: Silicone molds are versatile. Besides candle casting, they are compatible with soap, concrete, epoxy, scented stone, ceramic, and plaster casting. Pay attention to the freezing and working conditions of your raw materials. Not recommended for food products.
- Package Contents: The candles and stone powder castings shown in images are not included. Your order includes only the high-quality silicone mold to produce these objects. The package contains 7 pieces: 1 silicone mold, 2 PLA hoops, and 4 clamps.
- Special Kraft Box and Information Label: Your product is shipped in a special kraft box with a label containing weight and size information to help you calculate raw materials easily. This prevents material waste and eliminates the need to search for digital data each time.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- First Use: Clean your molds with soapy water and dry thoroughly before use.
- Wick Placement: Molds are sent without wick holes opened or cut, due to their multi-purpose casting advantage. Before candle casting, you can easily pierce the wick hole in seconds without damaging the mold using a tool called “biz” or a medium-thickness quilting needle.
- Using the PLA Hoop: Before casting, place the hoop onto the silicone mold and secure it with clamps. This prevents the silicone from stretching and deforming during casting. Important: Do not apply direct heat (hair dryer, heat gun, etc.) to the hoop as high heat may deform or melt the PLA material.
- Level the Surface: Ensure the surface where you place the mold is flat and level for a perfect form.
- Heat Balance: To preserve mold details, pay attention to the candle’s melting and casting temperature. Removing the candle from the mold before it is fully cooled and solidified may cause loss of detail and shape differences.
- Colored Casting Tip: If your candle mixture is colored, the silicone mold may change color after casting. Following cleaning and storage instructions will minimize color transfer for future castings. To reduce workload and risk, we recommend having separate molds for colored and white castings.
- Using Mold Release Spray: For serial production, you can use mold release spray to extend mold life and release objects faster. Apply the spray evenly inside the mold to form a uniform layer.
CLEANING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Post-Use Cleaning: After casting, gently warm the mold interior with a heat gun and wipe off candle residues with paper towel. Then wash with soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Proper Storage: Silicone is flexible and may warp under pressure over time. Make sure the mold is completely dry before placing it back in its original kraft box. Store away from direct sunlight, high heat, and heavy weights.
- Quick Cleaning: You may use wet wipes, adhesive tape, or alcohol wipes for quick cleaning.
