Product Info
Gel wax, also known as gel paraffin, is a type of paraffin derived from petroleum. It is obtained through refining crude oil in industrial processing plants and undergoing multiple treatments. It is used in candle making. The wax is transparent and has a flexible structure. It is odorless. Compared to paraffin, it burns 4 times longer and burns cleaner. Its melting point is between 90-95°C. The solidification point is between 50-60°C. Since it may be harmful to human and animal health, it is not recommended to inhale directly during melting and solidifying. Use of a mask is advised. It is recommended to melt the product using a double boiler method and to stir continuously during melting. The melting process is not complete until the wax becomes fully liquid. Depending on your wick choice, it may produce soot and smoke. As a flammable raw material, extra caution is advised when melting and burning the wax. Protect the product from excessive heat (above 32°C) and extreme cold (below 5°C). Storage at an average temperature of 18-21°C, which is the World Health Organization's recommended room temperature, is suitable. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
