- Candle dyes are oil-based products used to color your candles.
- They have a thick, concentrated consistency and begin to soften and then melt when exposed to heat.
- This product is black in color and weighs 1 kg. It is shipped as a single 1 kg doypack package.
- When making the candle you want to color, it is recommended to add a small amount (1%) of granular candle dye to the melting pot together with your base material (soy wax, paraffin, etc.). Mix the two products thoroughly until homogeneous. After your base material has completely melted, drop a small amount onto white paper and wait for it to dry. If the dried colored wax on the paper matches the tone you want, your color is ready. If it is lighter than expected, break off a small piece (2%, 3%, 4%, etc.) and add it to the liquid wax, mixing well. Repeat this process until you achieve the desired tone.
- The color you see in the melted base material will differ from the color after the candle dries.
- The candle dyes you use can mix with each other, allowing you to create intermediate colors from different primary colors.
- Granular candle dyes are produced to minimize pigment issues after drying, unlike powder dyes. They are much easier to work with compared to powder dyes.
