- Candle dyes are oil-based products used to color your candles.
- They have a thick, concentrated consistency and begin to soften and then melt when exposed to heat.
- This product is dark red in color and weighs 250 grams. It is shipped as a single 250g doypack package.
- When coloring your candle, add a small amount (1%) of the granule candle dye to the melting container along with your base material (soy wax, paraffin, etc.). Mix the two thoroughly until homogeneous. Once your base material is fully melted, drip a drop onto white paper and wait for it to dry. If the dried colored wax on the paper matches your desired shade, your color is ready. If the tone is lighter than expected, break off a small piece (2%, 3%, 4%, etc.) and add it to the liquid wax, mixing well. Repeat this process until you achieve your desired shade.
- Note that the visible color of the melted wax will differ from the color after it dries.
- The candle dyes you use can be mixed with each other, allowing you to create intermediate shades from different primary colors.
- Granule candle dyes are produced to minimize pigment issues after drying, unlike powder dyes. They are much easier to work with compared to powders.
