USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- First Use: Clean molds with soapy water and dry thoroughly before use.
- Wick Placement: Molds are sent without wick holes opened or cut due to their multi-purpose casting advantage. Before candle casting, you can easily pierce the wick hole with a tool called a 'biz' or a medium-thickness quilting needle in seconds without damaging the mold.
- Level the Surface: Ensure the surface where you place the mold is flat and level for a perfect form.
- Temperature Balance: To preserve mold details, pay attention to the candle’s melting and casting temperature. Removing the candle before it fully cools may cause loss of details and shape distortions.
- Colored Casting Tip: If your candle mixture is colored, the silicone mold may change color after casting. Following cleaning and storage instructions minimizes color transfer for future castings. For less workload and zero risk, we recommend separate molds for colored and white castings.
- Use of Mold Release Spray: For serial production, use mold release spray to extend mold life and release objects quickly. Apply an even layer on the mold’s inner surfaces.
CLEANING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Post-Use Cleaning: After casting, gently heat the mold interior with a heat gun and wipe off candle residues with paper towel. Then wash with soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Proper Storage: Silicone is flexible and may warp under pressure over time. Store the mold completely dry in its original kraft box. Keep away from direct sunlight, high heat, and heavy weights.
- Quick Cleaning: Use wet wipes, packing tape, or cologne wipes as needed.
Remember, every candle casting is an enjoyable experience. We wish you a joyful and patient production process.
